World wide drowning, the third largest killer in the world of accidental deaths.
Refugees at sea, floods, ship-wrecks and extreme weather conditions have increasingly necessitated large-scale rescue operations.
This project was initiated with the aim of supporting rescue organisations in bridging the capacity gap for mass rescue operations.
The process has resulted in the development of a scalable mass-rescue solution adaptable to specific needs and situational demands.
The most important feature is the easy access for individuals of all ages and abilities, including children, the elderly, and the disabled. The raft also flows with the water in breaking waves, providing stability, and can be flipped to function on both sides.
The Lifboat can be moved efficiently with a fast rescue boat (FRB), towed at speeds up to 40 knots and work as a platform for the FRB. The device is lightweight, quick to inflate and deflate. Packable to fit a standard EU pallet.
Tested in both Arctic conditions and by respected organizations like the Swedish Sea Rescue Society (SSRS) and the Norwegian Sea Rescue Society (RS), the Lifboat has proven its durability and reliability in a wide range of environments.
